Khizr Khan, an Immigrant American, is the founder of the Constitution Literacy and National Unity Project. He is licensed to practice law before the Supreme Court of the United States and Washington, DC and New York Federal and State courts. He specializes in Civil Litigation, Health Privacy Law, Veterans, Women and Children Rights. He migrated to the United States in 1980 and attended Harvard Law School for LL.M degree.


Khizr Khan is  a Gold Star parent of  US  Army  Captain Humayun Khan. CPT Humayun Khan was a University of Virginia graduate - he was killed while serving in Iraq as he stopped an attack on his camp and saved lives of scores of  US  soldiers and local citizens.
He was posthumously awarded Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was buried  in the Arlington National Cemetery Section 60 with full military honor.

Khizr Khan lives in Charlottesville Virginia. He is author of three books including “An American Family, Memoir of Hope and Sacrifice”, “Founding Documents of the United States of America” and “This is Our Constitution”. Proceeds from the books are allocated to a need based scholarship titled “CPT Humayun Khan Memorial Scholarship”  at the University of Virginia.
